Hi.

Welcome to my blog! I live for simplicity yet I strive to be bold.

The ONLY Makeup Brushes You Need

The ONLY Makeup Brushes You Need

Have you ever seen those huge sets of makeup brushes and thought, “do they seriously use all of those and HOWW??” I definitely have! Maybe it seems overwhelming or maybe you're like me; a minimalist who doesn't want to have piles and drawers of makeup crap. I wrote a post about how to have a minimalist makeup collection that you can check out here. But for this post, I wanted to focus on makeup brushes because there’s a ridiculous amount of styles/brands out there that it can be hard to know which ones you actually need and will use for several years! So I'll be sharing with you the ONLY five makeup brushes you will ever need to keep that minimalist passion alive and well!

The best part about these five brushes I'm going to share with you is that they are double ended meaning you get more value with your money, take up less room in your drawer or bag, and speed up your makeup application! These makeup brushes are from Seint Beauty and they are the best brushes my face has ever been aqauinted with! In fact, they're in a pretty serious relationship now ;) I love how soft, high quality, and GORGEOUS they are without the high price tag! So enough small talk, let's meet these brushes!

THE BUFF BRUSH

This brush is your all in one perfectly airbrushed highlight and contour brush. Whether you prefer cream or liquid foundation, this brush will give you full coverage and a perfect blend in minutes. I love using the larger end to apply and buff out my cream highlight (foundation) and the smaller end to apply my cream contour for a perfect chiseled shadow. You can also use it to apply and blend blush! Grab it here.

THE BLUSH+BRONZER BRUSH

This is probably my most used brush in my collection. I prefer a lighter/natural look for my makeup and this one is perfect for that! I use the smaller end to apply my cream highlight from Seint as well as blend my blush. It applies just the right amount of product, blends as I go, and is fast because of its size. The larger end is of course perfect for applying bronzer and dusting on setting powder. Tap here to grab this brush!

THE LINE BRUSH

If you have been on the lookout for that perfect brow brush then I have found it for you! This fine edge brush gives you perfect lines for great brows every time. I love that it has a spoolie on the other side so I can alternate between applying the hair strokes and brushing them where I need. You can also use this brush to apply powder or cream eyeliner if you're in a pinch! Get it here.

THE EYESHADOW BRUSH

I honestly don't know how many times I have said perfect in this post.. probably enough that I would throw up hahaha. But I’m sorry, this eyeshadow brush really is PERFECT! It's pretty much the only brush I have used for my eyes in like 3 years. Whether you like just 1-2 simple colors or a more detailed eye look, this brush can do it! The larger end is the best blending brush and all over washes and the smaller side can get those more pigmented, defined looks and a great smokey under eye. Click here to grab this brush!

THE MULTITASKER orrr BLEND BRUSH

Okay this is actually the part where I can't decide between 2 brushes for this final one oops… It sort of depends what your makeup needs are! So the Multitasker is a great additional detail brush and super versatile. It is great for: fine spot concealing, eyeliner, lipstick, lip liner, faux freckles, brows, and nose contour. So if you tend to do those more detailed things in your makeup looks then this brush is 100% a must!

But, if you tend to do more natural looks and like to stick to the basics then I'd suggest the Blend brush instead! You can still do spot concealing with the smaller end and even apply your cream highlight for a really light coverage. This end is also great for contour application and blush. The larger end is more fluffy and great for final blending, super super light coverage, powder illuminator application, and dusting of setting powder.

So yes maybe you're saying, “okay Holly you cheated because that's basically 10 brushes!” Well… yeah okay but I stand by it because the double sided factor is everything and does actually save you time, space, and money which is one of the driving forces of us minimalists! Haha.. So I hope you loved this guide and that it helped you learn which makeup brushes you actually need and why you should consider investing in Seint Beauty makeup brushes (because they're the damn best!) Until Next Time.. See Ya!
